I thought that this event was very exciting.  It was great to see the community come together with smiles all around just for one person. Rick Hansen was inspiring to watch. He did something most people didn’t think was possible, three times.  “Anything is possible.” – Jackson P.

 

Rick Hansen is different. He doesn’t lie back, curse, and think things will get better.  He actually puts his time and energy into conquering the impossible and raising awareness about what he cares about.  He even passes this passion on so that everyone can be filled with hope.  He is truly amazing. I think Rick Hansen is inspiring because he went around the world in a wheelchair.  He is brave and has a positive attitude.  He persists through things like coming up Thermal Drive after saying after his first two runs that he wouldn’t go up again.  He has raised millions of dollars. Rick Hansen is a very inspiring person. -Kevin

 

Rick Hansen shows perseverance…. It just goes to show how disabilities don’t get in the way of fulfilling your dreams no matter how big or how small. He is also a big role model like when he was going around the world he donated millions of dollars. – Taze

 

Today we went and saw Rick Hansen wheel up Thermal Drive.  It was amazing how many people came to watch him. It must have been extremely tough for him.  After, there was a ceremony. I took lots of pictures.   Rick Hansen must have inspired so many people, especially people with disabilities.  I think he has inspired people to never give up, no matter what. And also, to do the impossible!  There was one other thing he said today that I loved and that I’m going to try to apply in my life… he said “People have to think BIGGER!” – Leah

 

I thought this experience was amazing! Rick Hansen is such a great role model because of what he does to raise money for a very worthy cause.  When he was younger he lost his ability to use his legs. Now that he is older he has chosen to live his life to the fullest and never let anything keep him down… Rick has taught us that nothing us impossible and that every life has meaning.  Rick has also taught us to dream bigger than we already are; Rick Hansen is a great role model to look up to. – Vanessa B
