MACC is committed to sustainable classrooms, communities and practices.  We encourage students to think about ways that their actions are sustainable and ways they could become more sustainable.  We are some of the projects we have been involved in:

Inspiration Garden, Coquitlam, 2011-12

Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-Up, Mundy Lake & Mundy Park, 2012

Energy Audit on Hillcrest Middle, BC Hydro First Wave Program and worked with Mr. Sands, 2011-12

Battery Recycling Drive & Establishing Hillcrest as a Drop Off Location for our school community, 2012

Passion Project Expo 2015

So this happened today!  Our 5th (we think) annual Passion Project Expo… we had Greek Temple…  canvases of art… medicinal plants… a robot that could solve a Rubik’s Cube… video games designed and played by students… photography displays… music… guitar playing… singing… cookies and great recipes…. weapons of anime… balloon animals and swords…. handmade wooden lacrosse sticks… felt arts… the constitution for a free Scotland… book reviews… poetry… novels…. sketchup designs for a house…. pencil sketchs and drawings….  thank you for sharing your passions with us.
